When it comes to styling your home, the way you furnish and decorate your living room should reflect you and your family. The living room should be your go to place to kick your feet up and relax after a long day at work, but also a space to comfortably entertain family and friends for those special occasions. I don’t know about you… but when I’m home, I spend a lot of time in the living room which is why I made it a room worth living in! I’m sharing a few of my favorite furniture pieces and other décor items I use to style my living room. Enjoy!!
As I prepared for my primary bedroom makeover, I was fortunate to have Castlery sponsor me and was gifted a few furniture pieces to include in my bedroom, plus some bonus pieces for my living room! When I first came across Castlery, I was so impressed with the quality and pricing of their furniture. They craft furniture that is timeless, using the highest quality raw materials to create pieces that are built for longevity and multi-purpose use. As it is a direct-to-consumer brand without middlemen, they can extend honest pricing and affordability to their customers. Below are a few of my favorite furniture pieces, thanks to Castlery!
Madison Leather Sofa from CASTLERY: $1,899
Dawson Sofa from CASTLERY: $1,999
Dawson Ottoman from CASTLERY: $699
Hart Upholstered Swivel Armchair: $1,199
This faux fur teddy chair is from Pottery Barn. Imagine being hugged by a giant teddy bear – that’s what sitting in this chair feels like… One of my favorite furniture purchases.
Unique Loom Sofia Collection Traditional Vintage Beige Area Rug from Amazon: $154.05
Rugs are a MUST when it comes to room design (Check out my Rug Favorites here). An area rug will tie in other décor items you have and add an extra touch of comfort and personality. An area rug will also serve as a visual divider to help separate other rooms from the living area. I have this vintage rug from Amazon, and it really is one of my favorites (it’s been with me since my very first house purchase 5 years ago..) By adding this vintage touch, it keeps my modern living room from feeling too sterile.
Traditional Swing Arm Oil Rubbed Floor Lamp from Target: $85
My living room really isn’t all that big so I wanted to find something to bring height and dimension to the area. This floor lamp from Target did just that! It also provides the perfect soft lighting to illuminate my living room in the coziest way!
Faux Green Leaf Tree from Pottery Barn: $399
Maya Terra Cotta Planter from Pottery Barn: $79.00-$99.00
This faux leaf tree from Pottery Barn offers the beauty of natural botanicals…with none of the work. Along with an area rug, I try to incorporate some greenery into every room! Adding some plants (faux or not) to your indoor space creates a more welcoming environment. It’s also a perfect piece of décor to put in those corners and bare spaces that just seem to be missing something!
Castalia Round Accent Table Natural Wood from Target: $95.00
As I mentioned earlier, my living room really isn’t that big. In small spaces especially, SCALE IS EVERYTHING. I needed a side table that guests could use to set their drink or other personal items on. I found this accent table from Target, and it fit my space perfectly!
Textured Ceramic Vase White from Target: $20.00
I wanted to find a simple, white vase to have as a staple décor piece in my living room. Each season I just change out the floral/greenery to keep the space festive!
Leaf Stem Arrangement Green from Target: $5.00
Just a simple, green stem to add to my white vase above! I’m always so impressed with how realistic the artificial stem arrangements are at Target!
LIZ Polyester Linen Drape Pleated from TWOPAGES: $54.99
Ivilon Drapery Window Curtain Rod from Amazon: $42.99
I never realized the impact that drapes have on a room! They help heighten the space and add a little elegance to the room. I love these linen drapes from TWOPAGES. The fabric is soooo soft and I love that these make my living room feel brighter without compromising privacy.
Jacobean Square Throw Pillow from Target: $20.00
You gotta have throw pillows!!! Pillows serve both an aesthetic and functional purpose to your living area. You can have fun and mix and match color, pattern, and texture to create a more personalized space.
Equinox 70”x50” Tupelo Honey Sweater Knit Thrown Blanket from Crate&Barrel: $89.95
You can’t have throw pillows without… a throw blanket of course! They will add comfort and warmth to your living room. I like to add a couple throw blankets on my couch for my guests to snuggle up with during their visit.
Live Beautiful- by Athena Calderone (Hardcover) from Target: $29.99
I love a good coffee table book. This is one I have in my living room and find myself and my guests paging through it frequently for inspiration.
Londonberry Turned Metal Accent Table Black from Target: $50.00
Another Target treasure! This accent table fits perfectly between my two swivel chairs and gives my guest a spot for their drinks.
