Primary Bedroom

Where, in our homes, do most of us spend the majority of our time? Where do we go at the end of each day to escape and unwind? Where do we dread leaving each morning when that 6:00 a.m. alarm goes off? The Bedroom!!! Why not invest the time and effort to make such a special place in our homes both comfortable and beautiful? After giving my primary bedroom a major facelift (ahem, see here), I needed to put the finishing touches on the space with some new furniture and décor pieces. My vision was to create a bright, simple, and most importantly, comfortable room. I wanted to create the bedroom of my dreams, literally, and you can too! Check out and shop my primary bedroom below!

Lexi Tufted Bed from Castlery: $1,199

The centerpiece of any bedroom is the bed… The bed you pick out will dictate how large an area rug should be, the height of your nightstands, and overall, set the tone for the rest of your décor and furniture pieces.  I had the pleasure of partnering with Castlery for a recent project and was gifted this beautiful, tufted bed, and I am IN LOVE.  I love the simple, yet elegant design of this bed; it was the perfect centerpiece to my bedroom!

Merwry 52” Integrated LED Indoor White Ceiling Fan with Light Kit and Remote from Home Depot: $139.00

I don’t know about y’all, but I need a ceiling fan in the bedroom. When I was shopping around, I found the perfect fan at Home Depot!  This fan provides great air flow and is quiet which is perfect at nighttime.  It also comes with a convenient remote to dim the light and change the speed of the fan from the comfort of your own bed.

Warwick End Table with Drawer – Threshold from Target: $100

I found these end tables from Target, and knew it would fit my space perfectly.  I love the drawer to use for my phone charger and other items I don’t want out in the open.  I also like the open shelf on the bottom to add some fun books and/or other décor pieces!

Large Ceramic LED Base White (Includes Energy Efficient Light Bulb)- Threshold from Target: $47.00

Brentwood White Hardback Medium Drum Lamp Shade 16” x 16” from Target: $54.99

Since my ceiling fan is a simple, white design, I wanted to find lamps that matched!  I found this large ceramic base and lamp shade and Target, which was exactly the style I was looking for!

Oversize Haven Dutch Velvet Throw Pillow- Freshmint from Target: $24.99

I’m obsessed with throw pillows… These oversized, velvet pillows from Target are sooo fun and bring a little texture and color to my otherwise neutral-toned room.

12” x 30” Open Grid Lines Lumbar Throw Pillow- Hearth & Hand from Target: $31.99

Another wonderful find from Target. This lumbar pillow matched well with my freshmint velvet pillows, shown above.  Like I mentioned earlier, pillows are a great way to add some color and texture, you can also have fun mixing and matching different prints.

Ivilon Drapery Window Curtain Rod from Amazon: $33.97

LIZ Polyester Linen Drape Pleated from TWOPAGES: $54.99

I’ve shared this curtain rod  and linen drapes in a previous post (living room blog post) and since I loved them so much in my living room, I had to purchase more to use in the primary bedroom! They give my room some height and add some coziness to the space. Drapery also helps add a touch of elegance to a room, which I love.

Picture Frame with Matt- Americanflat from Target:  $53.99 (11” x 14” – 2 Pack)

Adding some photos of yourself and/or loved ones is a perfect way to personalize your space!  If you have a bare wall that is needing some extra attention, just add some pictures in nice frames to give that bare space some purpose!

Corum Abstract Area Rug in Black/Ivory from Wayfair: $41.99-$359.99

I found this simple, yet compelling rug from the Corum Collection on Wayfair and it truly represents modernism, which I LOVE!  It was the perfect addition to my modernized primary bedroom.

Bath Hook – Hearth & Hand from Target: $4.99

I believe that everything should have a place in the bedroom.  This is important, especially if your room is small, where it’s all too easy for the bedroom to feel cluttered if things are just thrown on the ground.  After I built my closet wardrobe (see here), I still had some items that didn’t quite fit in the closet. I mounted these bath hooks on the wall to hang my purses and backpack! It was the perfect solution!!
