What I’m Bringing on Vacation

Spring is finally here and I have some exciting vacations planned!! It’s always fun having a vacation to look forward to, especially at the end of a long winter. I am most looking forward to visiting Saint Kitts in the Caribbean with my husband! I love the anticipation and getting to pack new, fun outfits. When going on vacation (where suitcase real estate is never enough) I love to pack outfits that can be dressed up or down to maximize my options while also saving room. I went on a little shopping spree (don’t tell Devin) and I thought I’d share what I’m packing on my beachy vacay!

The Perfect Vintage Wide-Leg Pant: Utility Edition from Madewell: $88.00

Whenever traveling to a tropical location like the Caribbean, a white pair of pants is a wardrobe must! You can easily dress them up with a beachy blouse or keep it casual with a Hawaiian tee.  These vintage, wide-leg pants from Madewell are definitely making my trip to Saint Kitts!

Ribbed Underwire Open-Back One-Piece Swimsuit from Madewell: $98.00

I was on the lookout for a one-piece swimsuit and boy did I hit the jackpot with this one! This swimsuit is so comfortable and I LOVE the color! Add a sarong and you are good to go for a day out on the water sippin’ your favorite tropical cocktail.

Kendale Button-Front Crop Sweater Tank from Madewell: $39.99

I found this cute crop sweater tank from Madewell, which is going to be perfect for a casual day walking around at the local shops!

Sashes Raffia Women’s Sandals from Steve Madden: $79.95

I needed a cute sandal that would be easy to dress up or down. I love all the sandal options at Steve Madden, but I was finally able to narrow it down and decided on these Sashes Raffia sandals. They are so comfortable and I love the neutral color that will go with any outfit!

Layton Midi Slip Dress from Madewell: $98.00

This Layton Midi slip dress comes in different colors and I WANT THEM ALL. Such a comfortable dress that can easily be used for a nice night out for dinner, or for a relaxing day checking out all the tourist sites.

Verity by Colleen Hoover from Amazon: $13.20

It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover from Amazon: $9.95

I had to see what all the hype was about with Colleen Hoover and her romance, thriller, adult fiction novels. I’m currently reading It Ends with Us which will definitely be making it on my Saint Kitt trip. Verity was the first Colleen Hoover book I read, and while it’s a bit twisted I could not. put. it. down. I can’t wait to lay out on the beach with a cocktail in hand while nose deep in this novel.

Packing Cubes 5-Piece Set from CALPAK: $68.00

I needed to find a solution to my suitcase mess. As soon as I start to unpack and find my outfit for the day, I leave my suitcase and often our hotel room, looking a hot mess.  These packing cubes make organizing for trips so much easier.

Hue Carry-on Luggage from CALPAK: $195

I love the sleek, modern look of the Hue Collection from CALPAK. Their luggage comes with a TSA approved lock and has nice interior dividers with accessory pockets that make packing easy, and honestly…fun!

Haven Laptop Tote Bag from CALPAK: $178

I love a good tote bag. This one from CALPAK features a removable insert with multiple compartments.  It leaves plenty of room to carry all my essentials, and a removable laptop sleeve to keep my computer safe.  I’ve been searching for a durable tote bag for quite some time and I can finally say that I found THE ONE!

Women’s Packable Paper Straw Floppy Hat from Target: $10.00

No Caribbean vacation is complete without a proper sun hat! This packable straw hat from Target is so cute and very much a necessity to keep the sun out of the face/eyes.  I plan on wearing this every day, rain or shine!

Women’s Angular Cateye Sunglasses from Target: $12.00

Sunglasses are another travel essential, especially if you are going somewhere full of sunshine.  Get your Wendy Peffercorn on with these Angular Cateye sunglasses (any Sandlot fans out there??); they are so adorable and add the perfect amount of drama and sass.. 🙂
