Bathroom Vanity

After finishing my tiny house I needed a few final pieces of furniture to finish it off. I needed a vanity and I didn’t want to buy a generic one that you see everywhere. For being in a tiny house, this is a pretty good sized vanity with a large vessel sink! I hope you enjoy these easy plans!

1 1/4″ Pocket screws (fine)
Cordless Drill
Nailer with 1 1/2″ Brad Nails
Wood Glue
Wood Filler
Putty Knife
Hand Sander
Sanding Paper

LUMBER LIST

1″ x 3″ Board
1″ x 4″ Board
2″ x 3″ Board (Cut down 4″ x 4″ Board)
3/4″ Plywood sheet
1/4″ Plywood sheet

STEP 1

Glue and screw four 1”X4” boards together with wood glue and a Kreg Jig (if available)

STEP 2

Screw the four 2”X3” legs to all the supports. All supports are 1”X3” except for the false front drawer which is 1”X4”. Make sure that the supports are flush with the outside of each leg. Leave 3” of space from the bottom of each leg and the bottom of each lower support.

STEP 3

Screw the 3 plywood panels into the legs. Screw the bottom piece of plywood into the side panels.

STEP 4

Place the top onto the vanity. Make sure that the back of the vanity is flush. Be sure that there is an even over hang on each side. Screw this from the bottom or use small trim nails to fasten to the vanity.

STEP 5

Build the vanity door. Measure the opening of the vanity and subtract 1/8’’ on each side to ensure that the door can easily open and close. Screw the four pieces together using a Kreg Jig. Use wood glue and staples or smaller screws to fasten the ¼” plywood to the back of the door.

STEP 6

Fill any holes with wood filler and sand the entire vanity with a hand sander. Start with a rough grit and move to a more fine grit sand paper. After everything is sanded and wiped down, paint or stain the vanity the color of your choice!

STEP 7

Fasten the door on the vanity using decorative hinges and a lock to keep the door from swinging open. Install your false drawer handle as well.
