I went to the University of Wisconsin – Stout where I studied for a degree in project management. As part of the requirements to graduate I had to manage two large projects. I decided that my first project would be to build a tiny house! I first learned about tiny houses during a sustainable design class that I had taken in college. The idea of tiny houses and simple living sparked my interest. I decided to take my passion of carpentry and design to the test and build a tiny house!
With my background in carpentry, and with the help of my carpenter father it took about 8 months to finish the tiny house. I also called up a few of my national guard buddies to help with the heavy lifting. After finishing the tiny house I put it up for sale, then sold it to a lovely couple in Massachusetts.
